Located adjacent to Bara Imambara, (Rumi Darwaza) built by Nawab Asaf-Ud-dowlah in 1784 which reveal the engineering of Awadh style architecture, now it has become logo of the Lucknow city. Rumi Darwaza, an extremely beautiful sixty feet tall gate, one of my all time favorite tourist places in Lucknow which I’ll definitely recommend for those who want to enjoy something adventure during historical tourism in Lucknow. However, travel guides and authorities generally do not allow that. But if you are little bit lucky, you can get the opportunity to go through the stairs and see the spectacular sight of the city from the terrace of the gate.

However it isn’t located in the center of the city, still intimate like Gateway of Lucknow :-)  I can bet you haven’t seen such a spectacular historical site during entire India trip. It is also very close to Lucknow famous shopping place – Chowk, so you can also enjoy some local shopping during travel in the city.
