  1. Hii Gaurav,I would really appreciate the way of your precise writing. You write and describe the things amazingly.Nice work.

  2. Hi Gaurav,

Can you please suggest which is a better place for honeymoon in mid June, between Darjeeling and Kerala.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    • Hi Deepika. It all depends on how long is your honeymoon vacation, your budget, distance to both destination from your city, and which destination you (i mean both of you 🙂 ) really wanna select for memorable moments.

But don’t forget, these both places also receive good monsoon in June so choose carefully before finalize the honeymoon destination. However, Kerala looks amazing in monsoon!

Does this help? Revert if Yes.

  3. Hi,

I am planing for honeymoon in month of May 2015 ( first or second week of May ) Please suggest the best place to visit. I couldn’t get any idea which is the best place during this time. kindly suggest which one is better. However Although I am thinking about Goa, Lakshadweep and Andaman islands. But for the summer everyone suggest hill stations. I Getting confuse which one to Opt. Could you please guide me on this?

    • Dear Bhavna. Don’t confuse yourself! First ask yourself what you really love; hill stations or beaches. Still confuse?? Search some images in Google related hill stations and beaches…hope, now you have a stand! Its your honeymoon, so your choice also matter! 🙂 🙂 Just kidding! 🙂

Okay. Comes to your query. We all know May month in the hottest season of summer in India, so its very normal thing that honeymoon couples want to visit either hill stations for romantic climate, or beaches for water activities. But as you said above, beaches are your priority over hill stations, then I must say YESS!!!!!

I can ensure here Anadman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep Island will bring to you the best memorable time there. Keep hill stations for your first anniversary next year, enjoy your honeymoon this summer at sandy beaches of India!

      Hope, it was helpful.

  4. Hello Sir,

I would like to go for honeymoon in mid of July and my budget is 45K for 7 to 8 days. So can you please suggest me the best places to make my honeymoon special and most romantic.

    Thanks and regards.

    • Bhavik. India is best seen in Monsoons months, but Ladakh is the only honeymoon places in India which doesn’t come under rainy condition in July month**. However, it isn’t always easy to reach Ladakh. So, it’s better to choose another convention destination that could fulfill your all memorable dreams. If you really like monsoon season like all other Indians, better to plan Kerala.

Kerala surprisingly looks enjoyable, more natural, and awesome in dark monsoon! Plan a trip to Munnar, Wayanad, Kovalam and Idukki for an amazing experience.

However, Rajasthan is another good recommendation for honeymoon in monsoon season in India (July- Aug – Sep). If you’re planning for a week in Kerala, I’m not much sure 45k is good enough. However, try to get hotels in advance as early as possible. If you didn’t include air fare in 45k, then this budget is okay. Because, recently one of my friend visited Kerala in Feb for honeymoon and he spent 1 Lacs for a week including flight fares. But don’t forget Feb is the peak season in Kerala for honeymoon. And Kerala is not much expensive in July-August.

      further queries?

  5. hey Gaurav
could you please suggest me where should i go for honeymoon in india in october november
    thank you

    • Dear Ayaah, October and November is the peak time to visit beaches in India. So if you haven’t visited Goa yet, Goa is calling you in this winter. On the other hand, Andaman & Nicobar is another very popular honeymoon place for these months.

However hill stations like Manali, Rohtang pass, and Dhanolty are also worth to go in November.

  6. hi Gaurav Kumar Srivastava, such a good blog you have useful for everyone.I am getting marriage on august month 2015, please suggest me good place to have memorable honeymoon.I have planned for Darjeeling, Wayanad and anadaman nicobar. Which one is best for August month? I am from Chennai Tamilnadu. I am looking for safe and secure journey. Let me know which tourist place is safe and good.

Every body saying that Darjeeling & Anadaman Nicobar not season in august month, is it true????

Please suggest from your side best place to have honeymoon!

    • @Sathyaraj. Indeed, it is not good idea to visit Andaman Island in August as it is the heavy monsoon time in India and due to heavy rainfall flight, ferry, and water sports do not work properly. Better to plan after mid of October for a perfect experience. Same with Darjeeling – landsliding, roadblocks, and very heavy rain. So better to avoid Darjeeling too!

The same story with Wayanad also, but also check what other travelers have shared their experiences on TripAdvisor.

If you have further queries, please respond in the same conversation!

  7. hi
could you please suggest me where should i go for honeymoon in india in August first week…

    thank you

  8. Hi Gaurav,

    Went through your posts
it’s really Nice and helpful….great job dear !

I am getting married in May and planning for Honeymoon in June 2ndweek.
We belong to surat(Gujarat). Please suggest us best place for our Honeymoon.
I go through many website and sortlisted

But I am confused where to go….Please help me out for selection and give suggesion for booking tickets and hotel also

    • No Hetal!!!

Lakshadweep can’t be shortlisted anyhow for honeymoon in June month. Don’t go there. Heavy rain may create huge difficulties for you.

Coorg also receive good rain in June because the summer season will in the final phase and the rain season will get to start, so choose Coorg only if you’re rain lover. But Coorg looks amazing in monsoon because of its lush green surrounding, the spectacular streams, and the white waterfalls are full from the starting of rainy season.

And if you go there, must enjoy rafting in Coorg. It is the best time for trekking, rafting, camping, and exploring in Coorg.

Please revert if my suggestion helped you to choose a good honeymoon destination in India 🙂

  9. Hi ,

Can you please suggest the best honeymoon destinations for July month end or august 1 week? As per looking to your comments, Kerala seems good place. Any other place in India which can make our trip remarkable??????

    • Ankur. Of course Kerala is a good honeymoon destination for travelling in these months if you love the rain, but you can also think about Goa. Goa looks lush greenery in monsoon and you will also get huge discount during monsoon season in Goa, but be ready to face rain 🙂

  10. Bro,

    I am from Coimbatore.

Darjeeling/Sikkim or Kerala or Coorg…Please suggest a perfect location for honeymoon from last week of August to October 2nd week. I went through all your wonderful posts/replies and understood August is a Monsoon season and looked as if you do not recommend Darjeeling. I am in some dilemma. My first preference has always been Darjeeling and I am not getting a convincing reason to avoid Darjeeling during the days I specified above.

Also, please give your suggestion on approx. budget for each of these places for a minimum of 4 days.

    • Dear Vasanth. Thanks for your point – Why I do not recommend Darjeeling in August? The reason behind is there might be some landslides and heavy rain in monsoon which stops travelers to go outside. So, better to postpone your honeymoon till October if Darjeeling is your first favorite choice.

Plan your honeymoon trip in November month in Darjeeling if possible (I know it is hard to postpone :):) ), because NOV is the good and a cold month for travelling there, and of-course the best time among honeymooners for some romantic time.

I can’t suggest you the exact budget for 4 days in Darjeeling, but I believe it will cost you more than INR 20,000/- But it is recommended to call online travel agents for Darjeeling honeymoon package query.

  11. Hi,

I am getting married in June and planning for honeymoon trip to GOA in 4th week of June,15. is it advisable??

  12. Hi,
Thanks for the best info. Which is the best honeymoon destination on the month of September? Kerala, Shimla, or Kullu-Manali? Can u please suggest???

    • Hello Arjun,

October to March is the peak time to visit Kerala rather than September, but it doesn’t mean Sep is dull time. Tourist activities remain open in September too, but the reason why you wouldn’t see more tourist in this season cause of rain. However, rains are not like flooding in Kerala but travelers usually postpone their trip because of peak time is just one or two months away. But of-course, if you wanna grab discount in Kerala for honeymoon trip, you may plan to Kerala in month of September.

And if you wanna visit Manali or Shimla, prefer Manali. The weather in Manali can be very pleasing. And if you go to Rohtang pass, I am sure you will find snow in the Rohtang.

Rest on your choice. Thanks for the query.

      Apology for the late reply!

  13. No words Man!

You made my day! Surely this is the best travel blog in india. And, I must say there is no website where one can get answer as quickly and as honestly….I doubt!

I wanted to ask you lots of query about planning my honeymoon trip somewhere in India, but after reading each comments…I am done. No more questions!

This is absolutely honeymoon blog post of India. You’re doing wonderful job man! Highly appreciated.

    Keep helping others.

  14. Hi,
I am getting married in dec last week. Me and my fiance are planning to go for Kerala in January first week. I just wanted to know its climate in January as we want a cool climate.

    Thanks, 🙂

    • Dear uzma, Jan to March is the best time as well as the peak season for celebrating romantic honeymoon in Kerala. And yes, January is the winter season in Kerala but not like freezing. So you can enjoy the awesome weather and capture some romantic memories if you visit few popular hill stations in Kerala. Like Munnar, Wayanad, Vagamon, or Idukki.

These all hill stations offer cool climate in Jan in Kerala.

      P. S. Sorry for late response 🙁

  15. This is brilliant. Your blog is too friendly and as I can see even you are too friendly to reply to each and every person who has some sort of query. What I like about this blog is that you have explained everything in detail. The best season for the destination, how to reach and what all the mode of transport and above all your enthusiasm to interact with your audience.

Just one thing, can Agra also come in this blog, as I am from Agra 🙂 Keep up the good work Gaurav and I am sure I will be visiting this blog more often now.

    • Dear Aarav, thanks for all your appreciations. I revert each and each comments, no matter it is positive or negative, but there is very few people who revert back with some positive response. I really appreciate your words Aarav!

Now comes to your query. I agree Agra is without doubt the most visiting tourist place in India among local as well as foreigners. But I don’t think people visits Agra for honeymoon trip. It can be visited as a historical tour or short weekend trip, but it doesn’t fill the requirements of honeymooners.

If you have any thought on that, please revert!

      • Hi, Gaurav
I am planning my honeymoon trip to nainital, kausani and corbett. Is it worth visiting or should I try for other hill stations? I am planning it in month of February. Please suggest.

        • Hello Arpit,

Planning honeymoon in Feb? Big Yes, Nainital can get cold. If you’re visiting Nainital earlier in Feb, you may also get some snowfall as well. Same for Kausani too. February is very cold month and snowfall make the weather and these honeymoon destinations very romantic & attractive. This is what honeymoon couples expect from the hill stations for a memorable and romantic honeymoon trip.

However, I am not much sure about how is Jim Corbett in Feb month. But it might be good time for sightseeing and safari tour.

So if you’re planning honeymoon in North India in coming Feb, I believe you’ve already selected right destinations.

  16. Hi Gaurav,

I liked the way you have narrated and the information given for every spot.
It good that you mentioned the Best time to visit the location.

    Okay. Here is my requirement.
I am planning for a HoneyMoon trip in October 1st week.
I am staying in chennai. Please suggest me a good place for 2-3 days vacation.

    • Sekhar, here I have few suggestions for you!

If it is possible, try to plan your honeymoon in November or mid to end of October. You have unlimited options to choose a best hill station honeymoon destination near Chennai. Munnar and Coorg looks amazing between end of Oct to Feb. Ooty is another perfect honeymoon destination in South India for honeymoon which offers all types of tourist activities.

Apart from the above honeymoon places, you can also choose from Wayanad and Kodaikanal. Above all destinations are best to visit for 2-3 days honeymoon vacation.

      • Thanks Gaurav for the suggestion.

I am planning for Ooty in mid of October.
I got the tickets upto Coimbatore. From there to Mettupalayam. Which is the best way?

If train, any timings are there, and how much time it will take from Mettupalayam to OOty? Is it good for sight seeing in the morning from that train.

        Please suggest.

        • Hello Sekhar, thanks for your re respond. Comes to your query now-

The best way to reach Ooty from Mettupalayam is railway. It will take 4 hour and 30 minutes (approx) from Mettupalayam to Ooty hill station. And, without doubt it is the best idea for honeymoon couples to take the ride of Mettupalayam to Ooty toy train. It is a truly amazing train journey that takes honeymooners from a height of 1000 feet to more than 6000 feet.

The Nilgiri Toy Train (Mettupalayam to Ooty) passes through 250 bridges and 16 tunnels. And, definitely the best way to experience the morning sightseeing.

          Take Care,

  17. Hi Gaurav,

I am planning for my first honeymoon in first week of February. We are preferring natural places with some adventures and off course romance. We likes sandy beaches, mountains, waterfalls, greenery. We are planning it for maximum 1 week tour.

Pls suggest a perfect and memorable honeymoon from “Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Should we choose “Coorg Karnataka” or Kerala? If yes then kindly direct from where we should start and and end this romantic journey which will cover our preference (sandy beaches, mountains, waterfalls, greenery) within maximum 7 DAYS.

    • I’m assuming that you have shortlisted Munnar (in Kerala) for honeymoon. And you’re bit confuse to choose between Coorg and Munnar! Am I right?

So if this is the story, I best suggest you plan honeymoon in Munnar rather than Coorg. The nature beauty of Munnar is more charming than Coorg. And if you plan to choose any best honeymoon destination in India; Munnar will be the best option in Kerala that fulfills your all desire whatever you’ve mentioned in your comment.

Munnar offers everything- mountains, waterfalls, weather, greenery, ambiance, and lot of tourist activities & things to do options. And, as you also want to enjoy romantic beach side walk in Kerala near Munnar, visit Cochin. Apart from Cochin, you can visit Alleppey, Varkala, or Kovalam beach in Kerala.

For planning one week honeymoon trip in India, it is suggested to ask local travel agents for more accurate info.

I tried my best. Hope, it was helpful!

  18. Hi Gaurav, thanks alot for all this information. I wish to ask you about the best honeymoon destination during mid of november. I am confused about the kerela and manali. But if you can tell me some better place for mid November this year i will be very thankful to you..

    • I agree Shahid. It is very tough task to choose a perfect honeymoon destination in India; especially between Kerala and Manali. Even, one of my colleague was confused too between these romantic honeymoon places. I hope you had gone through all the previous comments. So I directly come to your query now!

I don’t know where’re you staying currently, but here in North India I’m feeling much cold in this season. So you can guess what type of weather you may expect in Manali in November. Currently at 21:17 PM, Manali temperature is -2 🙂 🙂 (Of-course, you can also check on Google). So I don’t think any other honeymoon destination in India can compete with Manali in winter. Manali weather will be cold, very cold, and extremely windy though. But if you’re true lover of cold climate, this November is the great time to visit Manali for honeymoon in India.

However, Kerala is the best honeymoon destination in entire India, but still if you’re especially looking for a very chill climate and romantic environment; Manali is recommended from my end over Kerala. And, you may also get some snowfall as well if you’re lucky enough 🙂

In November, overall, Manali is better than Kerala. As Kerala gets rainy in Oct-Nov (sometime). But Munnar(Kerala) is almost unbeaten between November to February. However, if you’re beach lover and love to see nature green scenic beauty; you may consider Kerala too!

      Rest on you!

      Take Care.

  19. Hi sir, I held my marriage on march 2016 and I want to go honeymoon. Can you plz suggest me which is the best and memorable honeymoon destination to me?

    My budget is below 25k.

  20. I am planning for 1 week honeymoon trip in end of feb, 2016 from Rajasthan. But I am confused among Kerala, Manali and Andaman. My budget is below 75k.

    • As you’re from Rajasthan, I believe you’ve already visited Shimla and few nearby locations. Of course Manali is one of the best honeymoon destinations in India, but if you have never visited South India and it’s famous beaches; just try that! Better to leave Manali as it is not too far from Rajasthan, and you can visit there anytime in future whenever you want. Go Kerala!

I’m not much sure about Andaman weather in Feb (it is recommended to check weather forecast) but Kerala is the perfect honeymoon place in India, specially for visiting between Oct to Feb. Kerala offers everything to honeymoon couples in the month. Start your few day trip from Munnar- enjoy one night in house boat 🙂 🙂 , visit hill stations, walk near by sandy beaches, and must experience Kerala backwaters. That’s it!

75k is good budget for one week honeymoon trip in Kerala but plan your trip accordingly and book tickets in advance & earlier, as February is the peak time too for visiting Kerala. And don’t forget to carry Kerala tourist guide. And, also check online what & where a honeymoon couple can enjoy in Kerala.

So plan your honeymoon in Kerala, and I bet you will not be disappointed!

P.S. 75k is not sufficient budget for one week in Andaman if you’ve included flight & hotel fares into it.

      Take Care!
